CritiCall Dispatcher and Calltaker Pre-Emplyment Software

I wasn't familiar with this test until I moved down here, and was told that they used it for Civil Service dispatcher exams. Looking through the software, I was impressed. From what I've heard, it's widely used down here. I don't think any agency up north uses this yet for Civil Service exams?

This is way better, in my opinion, then a simple typing test- if used properly. It's cool to see this kind of software on the market, and I wonder if one day it will become more widespread.

We use it here for my company, and many agencies are too. Simple typing isn't all dispatchers/calltakers do anymore, so a typing test doesn't give a good impression of how someone will be able to handle the multi-tasking that a dispatcher must do....

Now if only my company wouldn't assume that because someone worked in another comm center they can handle it in our center...
