Description: Trenching machine ruptured 24" gas main. Subsequent explosion and heavy fire. Exteme radiant heat in area. All companies working to cool surrounding area until gas company could shut off main and fire could burn itself out. Damage to nearby structure and cars, fire could be seen from miles around, shooting hundreds of feet into the air.
