Description Of Incident: EDP- (scene secure, then EDP violent/resisting)

Original dispatch for CROTON EMS for possible EDP (non-violent, scene secure) per CROTON PD units on scene. 5512/55B2 responding. CEMS units onscene entered residence encountered subject in scuffle with CROTON PD units. (subject become extremely combative) CPD units requesting assistance from CEMS manpower to relay to CPD HQ for additional PD units. CEMS relayed and additional PD units requested. Within minutes after 10-13 request, subject in custody. Slow down M/A PD units. Subject in custody, one officer being evaluated. 1 RMA SECURED and original EDP patient in PD custody, no other actions taken. State Police on scene with multiple units, all other M/A PD cancelled.

**Great job by CPD officers on scene, handling a tough situation and minimizing further injury to patient, family, EMS and themselves. Reason why we should all verify scene is secure and protect ourselves. Because you never know when the s--t is gonna hit the fan!!
