Did they get rid of the 1991 Pierce Lance pumper? If so - does anyone know where it went? Thanks for your help!

Best - Chris

You said that this is 63B-1. What does the A10 on the side of it mean?

A10 (ambulance 10) was the old numbering system we used before we switched to the current number system of 63-B1

and 63-B2.

It appears that old 155 has found a new home in Shelburne Falls, MA. Sad to see that one go - imo - she was a real beauty!

What's with the gold Mack bulldogs on E155? I know the old E155 was a Mack. My understanding is that if a apparatus has a gold bulldog it has a Mack engine, while a chrome one means it is not a Mack engine (Detroit, Caterpilar, etc.)

East Meadow (Nassau Co.) has a Pierce Lance engine with a Bulldog right up under the windshield where it would normally be on a Mack CF, as that's what the Lance replaced. Nice touch.

The Gold Bulldog meant you had an entire driveline by MACK, Engine , Gearbox and diffs etc. Silver Bulldog meant you had a non Mack driveline, but you could have a Mack Engine.

But, the question I'm asking is does the Pierce engine have a full Mack engine, etc to justify the gold bulldogs? :)

The rule of thumb I was always told by the Mack enthusiast and those who worked at the old Mack dealer in West Haven told me the gold bulldogs were placed on an ALL MACK TRUCK (engine, transmission, body, cab, chassis). If the truck was not entirely built by Mack or the body was built by another manufacturer, then the bulldog was silver. This holds true today and after 1984 when Mack stopped building bodies fire truck bodies, no CF. MR, or MC had a gold bulldog, those were reserved for the all Mack over the road chassis.

This is what I was told and I know there are many variations to the story.
