I never knew Peekskill had a lime engine, what's the story behind that?

Also, the Washington Engine Company building.....I can't reconize where that is/was?

Centennial Hose Company No. 4

"Dock Rats"

Engine 130

The 1975 Mack CF600 was Lime Yellow because it was purchased from a Long Island FD

that had Lime Yellow Apparatus.

They originally ordered two Engines but at the last minute decided on just one.

It was Lime Yellow from 1975 until 1984.

Refurbished to Red/White in 1985 (seen in above photo)

Today our 1975 Mack CF600 is now serving in Lake Carey Pennsylvania

MoFire24, to you and Gus... THANK YOU!

Although maybe not that popular in the NY Metro area... I'd argue that there are as many without lids as there are with them. I happen to own one that was manufacturered with a roof, and when final inspection was done in 1957, Mack was told to cut it off.

Bootheng161,

That was one of the old Peekskill PD cars.

Ex Chief Jim Seymour drove it for a while.

The old firehouse in post #17, was that the one on Park Street near the Paramount? As a young boy I remember an old firehouse in that area before the "new" firehouse was built Crompond Road.
