Wassaic's Road Trip to Firematic in Shirley, NY: 4/14/09

Myself and the SIGNMAN took a road trip today to Shirley on Long Island to the Firematic B.R.A.T (Brush Rapid Attack Truck) plant to start to go over some of the details of are recent order of our new utlility/brush truck. We also went to Sag Harbor to take a look at their recent delivery of the Firematic 4x4 pumper. Thank you to David Horton for the time and hospitality.

No its not, ichie 3120 was just joking around. No way would Wassaic get rid of blue, just like UVFD wouldnt get ride of yellow.

No the black over red was not ours, our chassis will be in around June1st and then delivered hopefully mid September. They make an awesome vehicle there. Dan I actually thought that black over blue would look pretty sweet however to stay will our other rigs it will be painted as 51's cab is.

It will have blue wheels or maybe some nice chrome inserts, not sure how they would look with those tires though?

Here are the wheel/tire package going on the black over red vehicle, 22" and they are also getting a 5" lift added.

BLACK WHEELS....trust me.

they had black ones there, I think we will probably look to see what they look like, black is what we had orginally. Here is a unit that has black ones.

Here is the same rig with red wheels and black wheels, I like it better with the red ones, we'll have to see

I think a trip to Wassaic will be in order to check the new truck out, I can remember when the truck being replaced was still called R-227 and painted red!! But that was a loooong time ago! I wish you the best with the new truck Mark!
