Two older Briarcliff firefighters take top honors

BRIARCLIFF MANOR - Chuck Catalfamo, 77, and Dhirendra "DA" Ashar, 63, are good friends who have shared "a lot of good memories" while spending their later years as volunteer firefighters.

Now they also share something else.

Great article, and Congratulations, Chuck and DA.

I am glad to have known Chuck since the day he joined Briarcliff FD. He's a true gentleman and wonderful person.

I've never met DA, but I'm sure he is equally honorable.

As for both of these guys, I admire their inspiration and can appreciate their enthusiasm.
