PIAA - Rte 52 IAO Hopewell Ave - Village of Fishkill - 3/19/09

The Village of Fishkill Fire Department and Mobile Life Medics were dispatched for a reported auto accident with injuries on Rte 52 near Hopewell Ave. Units arrived to find that a vehicle had rear-ended a Village of Fishkill Police Department Chevy Tahoe and the Police Officer as well as the female driver of the other vehicle were both injured. Apparently the Village Police Officer was conducting a traffic stop on Rte 52 when a vehicle slammed into the rear of his Tahoe while he sat in the front seat...... Both drivers were attended to by Village of Fishkill Firefighters and Mobile Life Medics and transported to St Francis Trauma center for treatment of their injuries.....

Bill was the Tahoe pushed into the vehicle that he had stopped, I see the right corner of the plastic/rubber shield under the bumper pulled down.

Speedy recovery to the PO.

Thier was a bolo for an erratic vechile about 5 min before the accident. The car was reported to almost hit a tree then almost hit a potrol car head on. Then the mva happened. So I hope this helps. Also, Bill you got around yesterday didnt you??? You are busy picture snapping man. Great shots as always.

I believe his vehicle did contact the vehicle he had stopped however if it did, it didn't seem to be a "significant" impact.....

anyone else notice the Tahoe? it looks as if there is virtually no damage to it
