Structure Fire - La Grange Fire District - 230 Sleight Plass Rd. 3/19/09

The La Grange Fire Department was dispatched along with the Pleasant Valley FD under automatic mutual- aid for a reported electrical fire in the ceiling at #230 Sleight Plass Rd in the Town of La Grange -The Ives residence which I believe is DCARC group home and all too familiar to LFD ..... First Arriving units encountered a working fire with fire breaking through the roof in the rear of the structure...... Arlington FD was then dispatched to the scene to assist as crews began their attack..... Firefighters were able to knock the fire down but not before it had done significant damage to the structures roof and attic area........ The clients were safely removed from the structure which was left uninhabitable due to the fire...... The Dutchess County Fire Investigation Division investigated the incident.......

Bill, The home is a NYS OMRDD home under Taconic DDSO, our Chief from Safety was on scene, I'm headed over this morning, greats shots as always and a busy day for you.

I went to the scene this morning as I work for the agency involved and I must say, one hell of a job was done by Lagrange, PV and Arlington, excellent save and work, Thanks again from my agency.
