Description Of Incident: Large brush fire.

1342hrs- New Rochelle PD and WCPD reporting possible structure fire at Glen Island Casino.

1343hrs- Reports of a fire 'on an island in the Sound.'

1344hrs- PD now reporting a large area of brush off Shore Road in the Bronx.

1345hrs- Bronx getting calls from numerous locations from Orchard Beach traffic circle to the city line.

1347hrs- B-20 req. 3rd Engine on the box (E-62). (3) Engines and (2) Trucks responding.

E-38, 97, 62; L-61, 51; B-20

1350hrs- L-61 rpts fire is in area of Orchard Beach.

1351hrs- NRPD getting numerous calls for smoke.

1357hrs- B-20 req. all units to stage at Orchard Beach parking lot. Units are with Parks Dept. to determine best access to fire.

1410hrs- Div. 7 transmitting All-Hands for large area brush with hard access. S/C Marine Unit and NYPD Aviation for bucket drop and additional Engine.

Remainder of Assignment: E-64, 90, 97; Sq-61,R-3; B-15

1412hrs- Req. Parks Dept. to respond with gators. Req. Marine 6 to enter the lagoon from Hunter Island side.

1420hrs- Div. 7 S/C E-72/S-2. B-33 is Air Recon. Marine #6 with a (45) minute ETA and reports an incoming tide.

1441hrs- Div. 7 rpts setting up a relay ATT, still have not yet reached the fire.

1502hrs- Air Recon being returned.

1518hrs- Div. 7 transmitting the 2nd Alarm for manpower, req. Engines and Trucks only, no special units.

1630hrs- Div. 7 transmitting 3rd Alarm.

1815hrs- Fire U/C.
