Structure Fire - Beekman Fire District - 29 Brook Avenue 3/15/09

The Beekman Fire Department operated at this structure fire at #29 Brook Ave yesterday...... They arrived to find a two story residence well involved in fire....... A brief offensive operation was initiated but the operation soon became a defensive one as the fire took hold of both floors of the structure....... Beekman was assisted by the East Fishkill and Union Vale Fire Departments......

The fire had control of the structure..... It's hard to see here but that is fire coming from the window behind the trees.....

It was an exterior operation when I arrived.....

Hello 911,........... I don't know if these guy's reported the fire but they had a great view from their boat.......

Water was no issue here.....A firefighter gets a shot of the drafting operation that supplied water to the scene...

His shot must have looked something like this......

The majority of the fire is now knocked down only the attic is left......

Bill according to the Poughkeepsie Journal those 2 guys in the boat did call it in and the paper used one of his pictures for the story online ...Nice job as usual Photo....

House is bigger than other pictures show..there are some great shots on Facebook that shows the smoke changing - excellent training worthy shots.

And I envy those guys out fishing!

I'm trying to find one of my computer guys who can resize my photos. My Fire Police Captain caught a few pics of when the crew entered the building then made a hasty retreat. "Risk a little to save a little".
