The I.A.F.F. And The March Of Dimes

I'm curious about the history between the IAFF and the March Of Dimes? They do a yearly fill the boot, as well as some other events.

I'm not saying March of Dimes isn't a great cause, but you would think that their major charity they send their money to and encourage their members to fundraise for would be cancer research or cardiac related causes.

The IAFF has long been a supporter of MDA, not the March of Dimes. They are the number one contributor to Muscular Dystrophy, a very worthwile cause that I have supported even before I became an IAFF member. I have never heard of any fundraising for the March of Dimes.
