Sloatsburg firefighters get feet wet on ice rescues

HARRIMAN STATE PARK - Joe Quinn, crawling onto the ice, headed swiftly to a hole in a frozen lake where Mat Swanson was dipping himself in, waiting to be rescued.

Quinn jumped in the cold water behind Swanson, toes first, and pushed Swanson up onto the ice. Both men were pulled on the ice back to shore with a rope.
