New York Chief Says Hydrant Not at Fault in Death

The lack of water pressure in a fire hydrant did not contribute to the death of a 29-year-old woman in a Selden co-op fire Monday, but the flow problems made it more difficult to put out the blaze, which also left more than a dozen people homeless, Selden Fire Chief John Cronin said yesterday.
