Thanks Dan. Pierce did a phenominal job on it. As far as the old rescue goes, its probably going to be sold off sometime this year. We are going to be putting most of the equipment that is currently on it, on the new engine. We are also looking into a small light duty rescue/ utility as a replacement for it and 34-67 but we shall see what happens.

Yes it is. It sits down in the bed next to the generator. Can be controlled manually, at the pump panel or with the remote control. Didnt want the added height of a traditional deck gun.

Thats exactly what we put on our new smeal pumper because we have alot of low bridges in our town it would not fit under if it had the traditional deck gun. Nice rig by the way!

As for the high hose-bed, that is typical of rigs with a larger booster tank (this one having a 1000 gal tank).

And as for the remote control deck gun, not having to send a firefighter teetering on top of a rig to control a deck gun, especially if freezing and slick, and if it needs to be moved after sitting in one position, it can be controlled from elsewhere (as was mentioned a remote control).

Kudos, gentlemen, on a beautiful, and apparently VERY well spec-ed out rig. Best of luck with it.

The hose bed is high, but there is a large step (the diamond plate under the rear roll-up) that folds down to make it easier for our firefighters to load/unload the hose.

Yes it is a rescue engine. It is set up so the driver side is all fire related equipment and the officer side is all rescue/extrication equipment. Also has full length upper body coffin compartments for hazmat/misc rescue gear.
