Cop Killer Brancato sentenced to 10 years

I don't care if he was found not guilty of murder, he is still a cop killer top me, this animal was sentenced to 10 years in prison for his part in the crime. This is in no way justice for PO Enchautegui but a small victory none the less. Hopefully Lilo gets the "Full" treatment in jail. God Bless you PO Enchautegui, you are never forgotten.

Any officers hear any rumors about maybe the fed picking up this case? I know in the past when local courts couldn't get perps significant sentences the Fed has occasionally stepped in pushing civil rights violations and gotten additional time.

I agree. If this junkie wasn't trying to break into a house with the other perp who shot the officer the officer would still be here today. Hopefully the parole board will have more guts than the judge that sentcenced him and make him do his full sentence.

I believe he was also credited with time served while awaiting trial. He has been in prison for about 3 years and if he had been given the minimum sentence he would have essentially walked free. He could be freed by 2014 for good behavior as well.
