Pedestrian Struck - Hit and run with severe injuries.....

The New Hackensack FD, Town of Wappinger - TransCare Medics, The Dutchess County Sheriffs Office, and the New York State Police responded for two people struck by an automobile on Pye Lane in the Town of Wappinger on the evening of December 28. Units arrived within several minutes and found an adult male with severe trauma and a female that was physically uninjured after being struck by an automobile which then fled the scene. TransCare and NKFD personnel worked to stabilize the severely injured male as the PD units on the scene began their investigation of the incident. The male was transported to St Francis Trauma Center and then later to Westchester Medical Center. My prayers go out to the victim and his family who have experienced way too much tragedy lately.......
