The Former United Hospital Property Status?

Just curious, are there any plans currently for the former United Hospital in Port Chester???

Also, what ever happened to the Staff Housing? Did they manage to keep that open?

United Hospital now owned by Starwood Hotels. Plans call some sort of mixed buldings, Hotel, conference center, stores ,condos, penthouses. Any thing above 5 floors has a complete view of long Island Sound from Port Jefferson on the north shore of Long Island to the city so I think they will use that to sell high rise above all. Plans delayed because of economy but may see some movement soon. 11 acres in a prime location can't remain unused for ever

Staff housing still occupied at approx 30% of the bldg,still paying subsidized rents,of course the myriad cell antennas on the roof are probably covering the rest. A word to my succesor, Ang, it's closer to 17 acres. As a thought the asbestos remediation needed to demolish the present and past Hospital bldg's will be quite expensive. Finally it is posted in quarters not to enter the bldg's due to many cuts used to get medical{xray,mri etc}out ofthe bldg
