Refining Your Patient Assessment Skills

Course Description:

Join Westchester County Emergency Services Instructor, Drew Fried, EMT-B/CIC, as he reviews the

importance of determining mechanism of injury and nature of illness while discussing the components of a

thorough patient assessment. In addition, the course will focus on effective communications with your

patient during the assessment process.

This course may be applied toward the patient assessment core content under the NY State DOH EMS Continuing

Education Recertification Program.

Date and Time: Saturday, January 10th, 2009 from 10:00AM to 2:00PM

Targeted Audience: NY State Certified Emergency Medical Services Personnel
