Multiple-Casualty Incident Preparedness

Course Description:

Multiple-casualty incidents (MCI) can be difficult to manage and may frustrate even the most seasoned EMS provider in the absence of a systematic triage, treatment, and transport approach. This presentation is intended to help EMS personnel better understand how to utilize resources most efficiently, triage objectively, and maximize patient outcome. Guest speaker Jeff Meade, NREMT-P/CIC will discuss the role of the EMS provider during an MCI and will focus on the Simple Triage and Rapid Treatment system (START/JumpSTART).
