AWESOME!!! I am jealous, I wish I still worked for WEMS! Who is this new ambulance assigned to?

MediBart, thanks for posting the great shots!

Hmm good idea - maybe we can get sponsors like Nascar. Maybe Tide or Home Depot.

The ambulance is going to 40A7 M-F 11a-7p (ALS bus)

i see a Ferno power stretcher...is that what they use rather than conventional stretchers?

my paid company Campion out of Waterbury CT only uses the bariatric version for the Bary car

Nice Rig Scott. Good luck to WEMS with it. Question though. Aren't the power stretchers alot heavier than the regulars?

I really like the DOT style chevon striping on the rear of the bus! Someone had safety in mind when spec'ing this new bus.

I've yet to see the new bus in person but from the pictures I can see a few nice features that I'd love to see in it's big brother, 4032. The netting to hold the ALS gear in place and the shoulder strap on the captains chair/5 points on the bench are good to see.

And yes, the mechanism of the electric stretchers DOES make it significantly heavier. The battery alone is about 10 pounds.

Good luck with the 6.0L Powerstruggle V8... awful engine. Shouldn't be allowed in ambulances with all of the failures on that powerplant.

The new ambulance looks great! 4513 worked hard to spec it out.

Can't wait to work an Alpha shift on it - !!

Nice to see that safety was top priority, and the idea of yellow/blue chevrons

came from Norwalk Hospital EMS in CT.
