State troopers stop potential jumper on Newburgh-Beacon bridge

TOWN OF NEWBURGH – State troopers stopped a Newburgh man from jumping off the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge Friday morning.

State police received reports about 10:15 a.m. concerning a possible jumper.

Over the last couple of weeks several people have been talked into not jumping. 1 apparently did as indicated by the story. I guess the Newburgh Beacon bridge is the favorite suicide place right now. Sad, really sad.
