I've been meaning to do this for a while, but when I read 242Steve's email, I decided the time was now.

Just wanted to suggest a "Frank Becerra, Jr. Appreciation Thread"... Aside from being a past chief from NWPFD, he has supplied an infinite amount of incident photos over the years through Gannett/Daily Item/Journal News/LoHud/etc., and has been a great asset to Tim Ryan's "Protection from the Past". This past week Frank reached a new high (literally!) by taking aerial photos of the Bedford multi-alarm blaze. As webmaster of www.ryefire.com I have contacted Frank on several occasions for photos and/or permission and he is always very gracious
