Description Of Incident: Darien toned out for a report of fire in the fireplace - first units on scene met with heavy smoke conditions in the interior and in the basement. Fire seems to be in a crawlspace.

2330 hours: Darien requests tanker from Noroton Heights, closest hydrant is dry hydrant a mile away

2340 hours: Darien requests mutual aid from Noroton - Engine 32 to fill tankers and fill at dry hydrant, Ladder 30 sent to scene for manpower
