10/18 Harlem Valley/North Clove training Association

The HVNCTA met on Staurday morning for a multi company drill brought together by JHK FF and Past Captain Carl Q. The focus was FF down/Mayday scenarios with removal to EMS. Crews engaged in suppression, search, ventialtion, and of course firefighter rescue. There was PLENTY of action to go around and I feel it was one of, if not the best training situations I have been involved in, in 18 years.

The HVNCTA is made up of the Dover, Millbrook, Pawling, Union Vale, and Beekman FD's.

Members of the JHK (Dover) fire department also were put through the mask confidence course for yearly SCBA recert purposes. It has been some time since I have been to "The County"...I must say, all of those who helped it evolve to what it is today did FANTASTIC WORK! The Taxpayer is amazing - what a change...the mask confidence course is well thought out and challenging...I STILL hate that feeling of NOT having a light with me...it was great!

Again - THANKS to Carl Q, Rich Guilaini for the joe/grub, and the members of the HVNCTA for making it a GREAT training day!
