Incident Alert Topic Title (If You Post IA's, Read This!)

Members,

In order to keep our Incident Alerts uniform and easy to index, we ask that you please abide by the following:

INCIDENT ALERT TOPIC TITLES

1. PLEASE, make sure the spelling is correct!

2. Topic titles should not be in all caps.

3. Please use proper grammar, this includes capitalizing each word in the topic title!

4. Most importantly, topic titles should use proper format:

A proper IA topic title format is as follows:

Muncipality, District, or Boro- Incident Type Date MM-DD-YY

EXAMPLES (This is what an IA title should look like):

Harrison - Working Fire - 10-13-08

Lagrange - Serious MVA w/entrapment - 10-4-08

Cortlandt - Home Invasion - 10-18-08

There is no need to list county in topic titles since each county has it's own forum.
