Perez-Olivo convicted of murdering wife

Carlos Perez-Olivo shook his head when jurors found him guilty of killing his wife on a darkened roadside, rejecting his claim that he was ambushed by a hit man.

It took the jury 8 1/2 hours to convict Perez-Olivo, a disbarred criminal defense lawyer, of second-degree murder in the 2006 shooting death of Peggy Hall Perez-Olivo on Route 100 in Millwood after a night out in Manhattan.
