Operation Santa dinner will support troops

October 11, 2008

PLEASANT VALLEY - A dinner to raise money to buy Christmas presents for troops in Iraq and Afghanistan takes place from 4:30-7 p.m. Oct. 18 at the Pleasant Valley firehouse.

The fire department's ladies auxiliary is organizing the second annual Operation Santa to support the troops.

Donations of gifts to be sent to the troops are also welcome.

The spaghetti dinner with all the trimmings includes salad, bread, dessert and coffee.

The price of tickets is $10 for adults and $5 for children.

Tickets may be purchased in advance by calling Beverly Doppel at 845-635-8476 or Terri Cronk at 845-635-3852.

Tickets may also be purchased at the door at the firehouse on Main Street.

Raffle tickets will be sold at the dinner for a chance to win 100 gallons of heating oil provided by Luv/Effron.
