NWS...Not just for weather alerts anymore!

Was checking on the weather this morning to see if the remenants of Ike were going to affect my FF 1 course schedule this week and noticed a civil emergency message for Istaca County, MN...It was pink on the map of all alerts notifying them of a 911 outage until 1045 hrs local time. Very good way to get information out there in conjunction with PSA's etc. They subsequently updated the message as well when the service was restored. I'd copy the message but weather bug won't allow me to and NOAA removed it form their main map already. Just thought I'd share it for information purposes and another tool in the tool box.
