I will probably be taking firefighter 1 next spring and would like to get a copy of the text that is used. Does any one know is there one book that is used state wide or do instructors pick different text's? and what the title of the book is .

ESSENTIALS OF FIREFIGHTING 5TH EDITION

You can purchase the book thru the link above (71.95) from the publisher. This is a new edition so there may not be any used ones out there.

NYS uses the Delmar Thomson Firefighter's Handbook, NY Edition
