NYS Trooper, Truck Driver electrocuted.

OGDENSBURG, N.Y. - A veteran state trooper and a Canadian man were electrocuted while fixing a flat tire on an antique fire truck when the truck's ladder touched a high-voltage power line.

I, too, was shocked and saddened when I read this news this morning on Firepics. A horrible ending for an outstanding weekend, and a great event.

May the officer and the CFFF member rest in peace.

EDIT: It was actually the 50th Anniversary SPAAMFAA convention and muster that he was returning home from, not a "parade" as the article states (although there was one, of sorts, Saturday morning enroute to the muster site).

This needs to be changed to NYS Trooper, Fire Chief electrocuted. very sad. It seems two smart men were taken out by a freak accident. BE CAREFULL OUT THERE! We were all together to have fun and enjoy our hobby.50 year anniversary of SPAAMFFA.
