Ridgefield Fire Department Communications

4 posts in this topic

I was wondering about the Ridgefield Fire Departments' radio communications system. I saw that their dispatch frequency is on 49.1400 and the input to that is 46.12. I also saw that they have a high band dispatch frequency 159.045 with the repeater input 154.385. The fireground frequency is 159.0825. Does the Ridgefield Fire Department still use the low band frequency extensively for dispatch or have they switched extensively to the high band frequencies. If anyone has input about the communications system I would appreciate it it.

I believe they have totally moved over to the VHF-high band exclusively. I will check on it for a confirmation.

Thanks you guys. So do they use those frequencies exclusively and just simulcast on the low band.
