Two photographers shot while covering early morning fire

Indianapolis- Indianapolis Fire Department responded to an early morning fire involving a vacant house at 833 North Tacoma Avenue.

While news crews were covering the working fire, about 2:27 am, a photographer from WISH-TV and a free lance photographer taking still for a local township Fire Department were apparently struck by gunfire.

This is scarry....... I wonder if they were targeting the media or is that who they just happened to hit.... Irregardless, everyone who was operating at that scene was at risk...... Hopefully they'll find the crackhead responsible......

Seems as if they have a "person of interest" in custody, and are continuing their investigation...

It appears to be involving someone with "multiple issues" .

Update on this story, a news photog, a buff and a firefighter were hit by pellets from a pellet gun.
