anyone know anything about this paper? i picked it up at a gas station, it's a free publication. i read some of the articles and they seem like they have a general negitive view on cops. one article tells the correlation of recreational steroids and the yonkers police another is accusing andy spano and county police for making illegal deals, to name a few.

Are these people credible?

While I do not appreciate the general anti law enforcement overtone of many of their articles, they do have some decent ones that outline issues with legal issues/procedures and societal/quality of life things that you generally won't see in the journal rag. I find it quite entertaining every week to say the least and occassionally they do hit some things on the head or make you wonder how things really are. I actually found their reporting on the Bubaris case to be a bit more open and insightful then the other papers in their coverage of his defense.

gotcha, thanks. i took the publication because they hired jeffrey deskovic (the peekskill teen who was arrested for rape and acquitted from it via DNA a few years ago after spending 16 years in jail), anyways he is dedicated to helping innocent people get out of jail via DNA. that article was great, just didn't know which way those cop articles were swaying.
