West Nyack, NY (Rockland) Playground Fire 7/13/08

1645: West Nyack FD requested for a possible fire at the West Nyack Elementary School, 661 West Nyack Road. 1st arriving Clarkstown Police Cars 218 & 220 reported the playground equipment in the rear of the school was fully involved in fire, thick black smoke visible for miles.

I hope these guys have good health insurance. You have the pak on your back use the mask, the smoke tells you that its nasty sh*t !!!!!!!!!! You took the time to spot the truck as it backed in, take 15 seconds and save your lungs !

It turns out that the fire was caused by teenagers who were playing with matches in the playground.

The kids will probably be given Y/O status and have their records sealed. Nothing terribly wrong with that, if it was indeed accidental.

However Mom and Dad will likely have to foot the bill to replace the destroyed playground equipment.
