Tropical Storm Bertha

4 posts in this topic

Looks like there is a system out in the Atlantic that is lining up for a possible East Coast landfall. Will be worth keeping a close eye on over this coming week, currently forecast to be a hurricane located to the SW of Bermuda by Friday.

Interestingly enough, there was a Hurricane named Bertha in 1996 that got it's start right about the same time of year in close to the same area.. here is a picture of her track.

Not only is it Hurricane Bertha but it is also a category 3 storm.

And happily it is far off-shore, not even threatening Bermuda at this point. If it stays on its current track, it probably won't be a threat to the US at all.

So far it looks like it will stay out at sea and not be a threat
