Radio Shack PRO 97 Scaner Question

I have a Rad Shak PRO 97 scaner. My question is, on the bottom right corner of the display a little icon appars at times. It has the shape of a ittle lightning bolt. Anyone else with one ofd thesescanners know what it is? When it receives and this thing is there, it sounds like it's in priority mode, but PRI mode is NOT on????????

According to the Easier to Read Pro 97 Scanner Guide in the section "In Receive Mode" the lightning bolt means the scanner is receiving a transmission or a tone is being received.

that is what that means it is some one talking or a tone out i have seen that on mine

The lightning bolt is the signal stalker stalker feature on that scanner. I have had the same one for 2 years and love it. That will only appear when the signal coming from the transmission or tone is extremely good.

It's a greatlittle scanner! With the RH77CA antenna, I hear more on all bands L,M,U than I did even with the RadShak gain antenna. For example, Brewster's high band is the same as Brooklyn, and with that antenna, I've actually heard Brooklyn at home in Lake Carmel, where I never heard them even when I lived in Croton Falls, with an outdoor antenna on the roof.
