The first address the caller gave was 29, then he said 31. Luckily there was only 1 fire so the FD was able to locate it at 22 Sager Ln.

CC-2 reports fire is out, overhauling. They are starting to release units. This is a remote section of town with no municipal water supply. Multiple tankers are needed in this area. it is a section of new "McMansions"

If this is the same street I'm thinking of, there was a fire a few years back on the same street, or one very close to it, that New Fairfield got called directly to the scene for. Our tanker was on scene before the first line was off the truck. Anyone know why Mill Plain got called ahead of New Fairfield? Seems like they'd be alittle farther away... We got sent to standby in Putnam Lake this time.

Yes this is the same street, it was mentioned at the scene that they had another fire just down the road about 2-3years ago. It was very hot in the attic, lots of insulation, both spread between the joists , and several large rolls of insulation that were not unrolled. Also the ceiling had a fiberboard tile over plywood design.

The Journal News is reporting that peat moss used in a garden planter was the cause/origin of the fire.
