Description Of Incident: Gas Leak

Units operating at outside gas leak with elevated levels. E119 staged on a hydrant, as companies used multi gas meters to check adjacent residences. As elevated levels were found command requested 2nd engine to the scene as well as CEMS to stand by while FD operated. Approx. 10 residences checked with gas meter with negative results, Con ED onscene with elevated levels from a manhole in the street, not in the explosive limits. Con ED advised CFD/CPD/CEMS to take up, no hazard at this time, and supervisor will be notified. Work crew to handle situation in the future. Leak is contained to the manhole in question.
