Tornado confirmed in Town of Newburgh

NEWBURGH – The National Weather Service along with a member of the local emergency management organization have confirmed that an EFO tornado touched down briefly in the Town of Newburgh around 6:15 p.m. on June 16.

Analysis of radar data and interviews with eye witnesses led to a determination that the tornado touched down three times along a 1 ½ mile long path, moving east-southeast from the 400 block of South Plank Road.
