Horse throws police officer during Pomona mounted patrol ceremony

POMONA - A horse threw its rider today during a graduation ceremony for participants in the Rockland County Sheriff's Mounted Patrol program.

White Plains police Lt. Kevin Christopher was thrown from a 1,000-pound horse during the ceremony at Hasty Hills, off Route 202 in Pomona.

White Plains mounted police supervisor back at work after fall from horse

WHITE PLAINS - Call him a desk jockey for now.

Less than two weeks after he was thrown from a horse and broke his collarbone during a police mounted unit graduation ceremony, White Plains police Lt. Kevin Christopher is not quite back in the saddle, but he has returned to work.
