Charleston, SC Fire Chief Resigns

4 posts in this topic

Chief Rusty Thomas resigns day before the report by several fire experts is released. Can this report be a lesson to all of us throughout the Fire Service? In this day and age many Departments have in the past ignored a problem and many have gone on and shared their information to help us help ourselves. Lets see what the report says and how we can relate to the tragic mishap!

the draft was issued last week and it wasn't completed. The final report is expected to be released.

Unfortunately Hudson, this will probably be just like every other NIOSH LODD report issued, some will take note of it, match the problems that were there and occurred word for word and no change will come of it.

The report that was released on the ninth is the draft copy, released early by request of city administration. The administration will then look the draft over and send comments back in by June 10th of this year. Then the report will be finally released.
