New Tarrytown Stations

Looking at the names on the two stations, did the two Companies change the Company numbers in their names? According to Tarrytown FD Apparatus, Washington Engine is "Co. #2", while Consolidated Engine is "Co. #1", not the Westchester County number's posted on the fronts of the buildings.

Yeah, especially since it made a little sense when the TL was called an engine co because of history....now the building says "Engine 78" Why not use the historic Co. numbers that went with the names?

The stations look great, but I have to ask...why two separate single co. houses? Wouldn't it be A LOT cheaper to have one kitchen, one gym ect ect?

It was supposed to be Co. 2 for Washington and Co. 1 for Consolidated. But somewhere between the politicians, architect, and contractors it ended up coming out wrong.

Two houses were built instead of 1 because the politicians somehow justified it would be cheaper to build 2 than 1.
