Transfer of Certifications

Can anyone direct me in the right direction.

I passed the Florida Minimium Standards and recieved my national Pro-Board certification as well.

If I decide to move back to New York, does anyone know if my Florida/Pro-Board ceritification will be accepted?

I just wanted to find out in case I ever decide to move back north and want to apply with a department up here.

I am not sure about NY, but CT is a pro-board state and I think they will be accepted/transferred if needed. You can call the director of certification at the Connecticut Fire Academy and ask, he may know. The website adress is www.state.ct.us/cfpc

Connecticut usually requires you to challenge the practical in order for the cert to transfer.

CT and NY are pro board states

The simplest thing to do is to contact OFPC in NY and ask them directly. As Sr71 said I also believe NY is pro-board state as they accepted my pro-board certs from Virginia.
