As always, good photos in Protection in the Past! I like the first photo especially, nice shot of the former Quint 1, I mean Ladder 50, with the ladder pipe working! And how could I miss the Red Bunkers?

Thanks!

Didn't several fight fighters get hurt on this alarm? Someone fell through the floor or something..

Speaking of The Quint...does anybody have knowledge/photos of the fire on Riverview back in the early 90's (I believe) where the stick got stuck up in the air from being frozen with water?

Yes , my friend was seriously injured in a fall off a wall on the "B" side. He needed surgery for internal injuries.

Fully recovered, and later he became Chief of Ardsley FD.

Good ol' Pat...

Having been there, I can say it was one experience I'll never forget.

I was on Elmsford Quint 2's ladder pipe for a good couple of hours - the view from above was amazing. If memory serves - there were a few members injured that cold, icy night - though Pat had the most serious of the injuries.

Heck - it even started snowing at a point during the fire... but the flames kept us all pretty warm!!

Anybody got more pictures????

Does Frank Beccera have an account on this site? Because he should, that man is probably accountable for 80% of our valuable information...

Nice shots, I definitely enjoy PFP, good to see how things were done before I was around/in existance

Frank, is an all around good guy, and an excellent photographer, he's a good friend to the emergency services. And I've known Joe since he was a TRrooper in Somers. Another good guy.
