Apparent human skull found at Grasslands site in Valhalla

VALHALLA - An object that appears to be a human skull was found this morning on the Grasslands Reservation, and police are on site investigating.

"It appears to be a human skull and it appears to have been there for a long time," Westchester County police spokesman Kieran O'Leary said.

The discovery was made by people walking in a wooded area between the Sprain Brook Parkway and a maintenance building at Grasslands, a swath of land that encompasses the Westchester Medical Center and Westchester County jail.
