Wow Chief , never realized how it really broke down.

For a key, Fire and CO are self explanatory. EMS is and EMS even if a first response engine is assigned. FIRE/EMS are MVA/ Auto Ped. Service-Fire are typically pump-outs. Service-EMS is assistance other than EMS (assist in a house, BP check).

Hmmm. Worky work busy bees!

I bet with the increases in the number of runs you folks is doing, your trucks could use a nice oil change, pump packing adjustment, coolant analysis, grease job and a brake adjustment/inspection :P Call me and let not your heart be troubled...

Think global, but buy local.

Interesting number...The City of Norwalk uses CFS #s (Call for Service numbers). In other words, our runs get bundled with PD and EMS calls. The city did close to 70,000 calls for service and I am still waiting for our share of that so I could post run stats on our website. It should be in the area of 10% of the calls for service. Any other departments use CFS #'s? They are a pain because you can't gauge how you are doing during the year.

Bedford Fire Department - About 615 runs this year; 357 EMS Calls and 258 Fire Calls. But that also depends on what category you think MVAs should fall under.

as much as i disagree with it, MVA'a are fire scenes
