8 posts in this topic

The EMTBravo comunity should chip in a few bucks and buy it. We could customize it. Think of what we can do, while keeping the emergency serivice theme. lol

prety good idea!!

I saw Engine 55 sitting at Scarsdale DPW stripped a couple of months ago. I guess it's dead-for them. Interesting to see L-28 up for sale, now that's a classic!

Anyone know if Scarsdale has awarded the bid for a new engine and ladder yet?

Wow, ENGINE-55 isn't a bad looking rig at all, there would be plenty of departments that would kill to have a rig like that! Hell, id rather have that 91' E-One as our 2nd due rather than our 98' Sutphen anyday!

As Seth said, that ALF ladder is sweet, definately a classic! Im sure she has plenty of good years left in her. All it needs is an en-closed cab and she'd be perfect for a less-than-fortunate department.

Best of luck to SFD on their bidding process. Hopfully we will find out what rigs they will be getting to replace E-55 & L-28?

Anybody think those rigs will have second lives somewhere? Just wondering, I know there has been some discussion of how certain rigs in Westchester (and the area) could go down South or something. Just wondering. I wouldn't mind buying up Ladder 28 myself.

-Joe DA BUFF, who hopes to own his own fire engine one day. ;):D:)
