Croton - Serious MVA 11/17/04

Times: Dispatch (15:20 approx) Writing (17:00)

Location: Route 9 Southbound on the Croton River Bridge

Jurisdiction: Croton FD, EMS, PD

Units: 2081, 2083, E120, R18, 55B1, 55B2, 74A3, 36M1, LG18

Description: Car traveling northbound in the southbound lane hit a vehicle traveling the right direction head-on. One minor patient was unresponsive on arrival, negative entrapment. Three patients in total transported. One via LG18, one via 55B1 (BLS) and one ALS via 55B2 / 36M1 to WMC. R18 handled traffic control, E120 had a line stretched and controlled the fluids. Road was closed for about an hour and fifteen minutes for investigaion.

**Cortlandt VAC was also dispatched to handle an additonal EMS call at the same time, and E118 was dispatched to handle an additional CO investigation during this incident.
