Missouri Firefighter Dies of Heart Attack

Captain Edward Schnauss, 54, of Morrison, Missouri died of a heart attack Saturday, Nov. 13 while working on one of the fire trucks in the firehouse. He was a 25-year veteran of the Morrison Volunteer Fire Department and a military veteran of the Vietnam War, according to Susan Cole of Shield 24/7.

Earlier in the afternoon of Nov. 13 Schnauss left home for the firehouse to change the oil on one of the fire trucks and to perform some minor mechanical repairs. Around 9 p.m. he suffered a heart attack while underneath the truck.
